- Built for more than one cloud
- Clouve is built to work across Google Cloud, AWS and Azure. Google Cloud is where it runs in production today.
- An isolated environment for each deployment
- Every deployment runs in its own isolated environment, with network rules that keep other deployments out.
- Encrypted connections
- Every app gets a web address with an SSL certificate that renews automatically, so data is encrypted in transit. Stored data is encrypted with Google Cloud’s default encryption at rest.
Keeping it running
- Monitoring
- Monitoring runs 24/7 and the team responds to alerts. The platform also restarts anything that crashes.
- Uptime
- 99% over the past several years. Clouve depends on its cloud provider, so it doesn’t promise 99.999%. When there is downtime, it’s typically resolved within an hour.
- Backups on paid plans
- Schedule daily, weekly or monthly backups, or take one whenever you need it. Free trials don’t include backups.
- Recovery targets
- An RPO of 12 hours and an RTO of 2 hours. If something goes wrong, we handle the restore.
- Maintenance
- Clouve handles routine maintenance of the platform. App upgrades happen when you choose, and on AI editions the AI Assistant can run them for you.

You keep ownership of your data and your domain, and you can cancel any time.
There’s no self-service export tool. Every app stores data differently, so we prepare an export for yours on request and hand it back in a form you can use.

Questions reviewers ask
Is Clouve SOC 2, FERPA, HIPAA, ISO 27001 or GDPR certified?
No. Clouve doesn’t hold any of these certifications. What it does have: each deployment runs in its own isolated environment, connections use SSL, paid plans include scheduled backups, and the recovery targets are an RPO of 12 hours and an RTO of 2 hours. We share security details with reviewers on request.
Where is our data stored?
On Google Cloud in the US, in the us-central1 region in Iowa. Other regions are available on request.
Do you guarantee 99.999% uptime?
No. Uptime has been 99% over the past several years, and downtime is typically resolved within an hour.
